Correction of Eye Lash Problems
Trichiasis refers to the development of eyelashes that are misdirected toward the surface of the eye, causing the eyelashes to frequently rub the eye, producing irritation, tearing, and occasionally, an infection of the cornea. Distichiasis is a rare disorder in which lashes grow on the inside of the eyelid, which may cause tearing, irritation and infection if left untreated.
Unless another underlying disorder is present, Dr. Carroll will remove the lashes to treat both of these eyelash problems.
